ClipMap
ClipMap opens Pro Tools sessions without launching Pro Tools. A large session can take minutes to load; ClipMap puts the same timeline on screen in seconds, so you can find a clip, hear it, and place it where you need it.
The app renders an interactive timeline with tracks, clips, waveforms, volume automation, memory locations and a synced video reference. Any clip can be auditioned and then spotted straight into a running Pro Tools session over Avid's PTSL scripting layer, at frame-accurate timecode.
Behind the UI it's C# on .NET 8, with the session parser and audio engine written in native C++ for speed, and a custom rendering path so a session with thousands of clips still scrolls at full frame rate. Shipping it meant building the commercial surface too: licensing and activation, subscription billing, an admin back office and the marketing site.
The open beta has wrapped. ClipMap is now in pre-release ahead of the full launch.
